Tasting Notes
Colour
Deep amber-gold with coppery highlights and a burnished mahogany edge.
Nose
Aromas of plush sherry rise from the glass, with fig and raisin mingling with dried orange zest and treacle. Rich cocoa, leather and cinnamon thread through polished oak, while almond and walnut add nutty complexity. A whisper of malt lends warmth, finishing in a refined, fruit-forward bouquet that hints at sweetness balanced by quiet spice.
Palate
Silky and refined, the palate opens with sherry-tinged warmth: dried fig, prune, and cherry fruit mingle with orange zest and marzipan. Cocoa nibs, toffee, and gentle spice ride on polished oak, with a faint maritime breath. Balanced acidity keeps it fresh, leading to a long, subtly sweet finish that lingers with toasted almond and spice.
Finish
Silky, lingering finish; dried fruit and toffee give way to cocoa, walnut, and warm spice. Sherried sweetness threads through polished oak, fading to a refined, long farewell.
