This 34 year old was distilled at the now-closed Caledonian Distillery in 1987 and bottled at 52.7% ABV from cask number 7823876. Matured for over three decades in oak, it comes from some of the last remaining stocks produced before the distillery’s closure.
Drawn from a single oak cask and bottled without dilution, the long maturation highlights the depth and elegance that extended ageing can bring to Lowland grain whisky. The character centres on smooth, mature grain sweetness with developed oak influence, soft fruit and gentle spice, delivering a refined and well-balanced expression from a silent distillery.
