"What a beautifully structured malt. There is no escaping the youth of some of the phrases. But you can't help enjoying whgat it says"

Tasting Notes
Colour
Deep amber with a coppery glow and hints of mahogany.
Nose
Peat smoke dominates, lush and coastal, salted by sea spray and iodine. Sherry and bourbon cask influence weaves a layer of dark fruit—raisins, fig, cocoa—with vanilla and honeyed oak. A marine mineral edge, subtle medicinal notes, and a kiss of ash rise to a long, warm, ember-lit finish.
Palate
Oil-rich and boldly peaty, it coats the palate with Ardbeg’s signature smoke. Sherry sweetness threads with vanilla and caramel from the bourbon, while prune and fig add depth. Dark chocolate, espresso, and a touch of spice mingle with saline, maritime notes. The finish is long, smoky, and warming, with lingering oak.
Finish
A long, smoke-kissed finish that carries peaty warmth with echoes of Sherry and Bourbon influence. Dark chocolate and dried fruit rise against the char and vanilla, while a maritime salt tinge threads through, ending in a nuanced, oak-spiced tail that lingers warmly on the palate.
