Tasting Notes

Colour

Bright golden amber with honeyed warmth and a light straw-gold glow.

Nose

Crisp and clean, with nutty notes and a touch of toffee.

Palate

Ginger spice and barley fuse for a clean, crisp mouthfeel, delivering a bright, grain-focused palate that stays refreshingly precise from sip to swallow.

Finish

A dry, evolving finish of spiced warmth. Drier notes emerge—cough-drop spice—paired with nutty toffee, a touch of honey, and a lemony brightness that lingers gracefully.

Tamdhu
(Tam-Doo) Tamdhu was founded in 1897 at Knockando in Speyside by a consortium of blenders led by William Grant, with Charles Doig responsible for the distillery’s design. It passed to Highland Distillers in 1899 and, like a number of Scotch whisky sites, spent long periods silent during the 20th century, including a lengthy closure from 1927 until 1947.
