Deep copper with warm amber highlights.

Nose

Dry nutty sherry greets the nose, mingling cherry and milk chocolate with wisps of rum raisin, citrus zest, and baked oats and plum.

Palate

Sherry notes envelop the palate—rich, complex and mouthcoating—with vanilla, brown sugar, red apple and dried fruits, unfolding into a long, warming finish.

Finish

Long and warming, the finish unfolds with dried apricot and dates, tempered by soft spice and stewed apple that linger on the palate.

Tamdhu
(Tam-Doo) Tamdhu was founded in 1897 at Knockando in Speyside by a consortium of blenders led by William Grant, with Charles Doig responsible for the distillery’s design. It passed to Highland Distillers in 1899 and, like a number of Scotch whisky sites, spent long periods silent during the 20th century, including a lengthy closure from 1927 until 1947.
