Tasting Notes

Colour

Deep amber with copper-gold highlights and a mahogany-tinged edge

Nose

Cinnamon oak, followed by praline and vanilla sponge.

Palate

Raspberry pavlova coats the palate with delicate sweetness and tart berry lift, while water unlocks apricot brightness, lemon zing, and a fresh wave of oak.

Finish

Oak spice lingers, giving way to baked figs and a bright, freshly peeled clementine.

Tamdhu
(Tam-Doo) Tamdhu was founded in 1897 at Knockando in Speyside by a consortium of blenders led by William Grant, with Charles Doig responsible for the distillery’s design. It passed to Highland Distillers in 1899 and, like a number of Scotch whisky sites, spent long periods silent during the 20th century, including a lengthy closure from 1927 until 1947.
