Colour

Rich amber-gold with honeyed apricot undertones and a warm copper glow.

Nose

Crystallised ginger greets the nose, balanced by sherry oak and a generous wash of rich golden syrup. Warm, inviting and subtly spicy, it hints at caramel and honeyed sweetness that promises depth and refinement.

Palate

Sherry-oaked winter fruits give way to rich malt loaf topped with vanilla cream.

Finish

Honeyed apricots give way to toasted nuts, leaving a warm, lasting sweetness and a final echo of roasted almond and hazelnut.

Tamdhu
(Tam-Doo) Tamdhu was founded in 1897 at Knockando in Speyside by a consortium of blenders led by William Grant, with Charles Doig responsible for the distillery’s design. It passed to Highland Distillers in 1899 and, like a number of Scotch whisky sites, spent long periods silent during the 20th century, including a lengthy closure from 1927 until 1947.
