Bottled by Berry Bros. & Rudd, this 1995 Tamdhu comes from single cask #1044 and was bottled in 2022 at 54.5% ABV. Matured in an oak butt, the cask yielded 160 bottles and gives the whisky a fuller, more structured style than a lighter bourbon-led maturation.
That cask style suits Tamdhu particularly well. The extended maturation brings extra depth and polish, while the spirit still carries the distillery’s hallmark richness, with notes of dried fruit, toffee, chocolate and warming spice sitting comfortably alongside seasoned oak. It makes for a mature, sherried Speyside whisky with plenty of weight and character.

Deep amber with coppery highlights and a hint of mahogany.
Nose
Dried fruit, walnut and praline mingle with old oak and soft spice, a warm, inviting aroma.
Palate
Rich and mouth-coating, it unfolds with treacle, fruitcake, honey and dark chocolate, punctuated by cedar and subtle oak.
Finish
Long and warming, with lingering spice, dark fruit and gently drying oak.
