This 19-year-old Tamdhu was distilled in 2007 and matured in a second-fill sherry hogshead before being gently reduced to 53% ABV. Limited to 246 bottles, the restrained influence of the refill sherry cask allows Tamdhu’s naturally elegant Speyside spirit to remain firmly at the centre of the whisky.
Mature, balanced and highly approachable, it combines supple dark fruit with earthy malt, grainy breads and deeper notes of treacle and tobacco. The result is a classically styled sherried Speyside malt offering complexity without allowing the cask to overwhelm the distillate.

Nose

Palate
Beautifully balanced, with breads, dark beer, dried fruit, date molasses, treacle and an unlit cigar note.
