The balance of American and European oak casks brings a wonderful balance of sweetness at the front of the palate and dryness at the back. A combination of first fill and refill sherry casks brings further poise – with endless waves of sherry oak richness unfolding on your palate.

Bottled at 47.5% ABV this expression underpins Tamdhu’s quality and raises the profile of sherry oak matured whisky.

Tamdhu
(Tam-Doo) Tamdhu was founded in 1897 at Knockando in Speyside by a consortium of blenders led by William Grant, with Charles Doig responsible for the distillery’s design. It passed to Highland Distillers in 1899 and, like a number of Scotch whisky sites, spent long periods silent during the 20th century, including a lengthy closure from 1927 until 1947.
