The Distillers Editions are an annual release of the finest single malts, double-matured in batches using individually prepared casks that have held a specially selected fortified wine, chosen to complement the characteristics of each mature whisky. The result is a range of sublime, deeply flavoured single malt whiskies, very much true to their origins, yet possessing a rich depth, complexity and nuance of flavour.

Tasting Notes
Colour
Deep amber-gold with warm copper highlights and a subtle mahogany edge.
Nose
Coastal air with sea-salt and peat smoke frames iodine and brine, a mineral nose built on Talisker’s maritime core. Sherry-cask sweetness unfurls: dried figs and raisins, orange zest, dark chocolate, and caramel toffee, velvet-soft yet robust. A hint of vanilla, spice, and pepper threads through the finish, leaving a lingering smoke-tinged sea breeze.
Palate
Silky at first, then bold with maritime peat and cracked black pepper. Notes of raisin, fig and toffee from the fortified-wine finish layer over Talisker’s sea-salt brine and smoke. Rich spice—clove and oak—builds into a long, warming, citrus-y finish.
Finish
Long, velvety finish where Talisker’s maritime peat softens to sherry-warmed sweetness. Smoke lingers with sea-salt caramel, dried fruit and spice, leaving a mouth-coating warmth that drifts into subtle oak and a faint peppery glow.
