Bowmore "Dumpy Bottle" De Luxe Islay Single Malt Scotch Whisky Miniature
In stock
This vintage Bowmore De Luxe Islay Single Malt Scotch Whisky miniature offers a glimpse into the distillery’s earlier presentation style. Bottled at 70° proof by Morrison’s Bowmore Distillery Ltd, it is presented in a distinctive dark glass bottle "Dumpy" with an ornate gold-and-black label and its original decorative box.
The imperial 1⅔ fl. oz. measurement and packaging style suggest that this example was bottled during the 1970s.

Tasting Notes
Colour
Golden amber with coppery highlights and a hint of mahogany.
Nose
Aroma of sea-salted peat and iodine rises from the glass, brightened by lemon zest and vanilla. Subtle notes of burnt sugar, toasted oak, and dried apricot weave through, with a whisper of sherry richness and the signature Islay coastal brightness.
Palate
Silky, medium-bodied, the palate opens with peat and sea-salt, tempered by sherry-cask sweetness. Dried fruit notes—raisin and fig—meet orange zest, cocoa and vanilla, with a whisper of spice. The maritime smoke lingers through a long, refined finish, leaving a warm ember and Bowmore’s signature balance between peat, sweetness, and coastal elegance.
Finish
Long, coastal finish of smoky peat and sea-salt tang, warmed by sherry sweetness that lingers on the tongue. Dried fig and raisin unfold beneath cocoa and orange zest, before a final ember of vanilla-coated peat slowly fades into a refined, lingering aftertaste.
