Glenfiddich Millennium Vintage Single Malt Scotch Whisky 12 Year Old · 2000 Vintage
In stock
In 1886, with the help of his nine children, William Grant fulfilled a lifelong ambition by building his own distillery. He named it Glenfiddich, Gaelic for Valley of the Deer, and the first drop flowed from the copper stills on Christmas Day 1887, celebrating the year of Queen Victoria's Golden Jubilee.
Distilled during the millennium celebrations of 2000, David Stewart, the fifth Malt Master in our history, and his apprentice Brian Kinsman, casked this vintage in the finest Oloroso sherry and bourbon oak casks. During its maturation in the heart of The Glenfiddich Distillery, our signature malt picked up complex, balanced flavours with elegant notes of fresh pear and subtle oak.
To celebrate an historic year, Brian Kinsman, now our sixth Malt Master, finished this limited edition 12 year old Millennium Vintage in bourbon barrels for two months to layer in extra flavours of vanilla and rich fruit. This single vatting is then exclusively bottled at The Glenfiddich Distillery.
125 years after William Grant created the 'best dram in the valley", his whisky has become the world's most awarded single malt, and his pioneering spirit lives on in this limited edition Millennium Vintage.

Tasting Notes
Nose
Bright fresh pear leads the bouquet, orchard-fruity, while warm vanilla from the bourbon finish threads through subtle oak. Beneath, a whisper of Oloroso sherry lends dried fruit and gentle spice, yielding an inviting, polished aroma.
