Talisker Port Ruighe Single Malt Scotch Whisky
In stock
Few whiskies tell the story of their origin better than Talisker. Double matured in port casks, this malt is a toast to the Scottish traders who braved the high seas and were instrumental in the foundation of the port wine trade.
Port Ruighe, pronounced ‘Portree’ is the Gaelic spelling of the once-bustling trading port on Skye. The port finish combines Talisker’ s powerful maritime character with succulent sweet notes of rich berry fruits for a superb taste experience.
Talisker Port Ruighe was made for sipping neat. An essential gift for lovers of Talisker and smoky island single malt whiskies.

Tasting Notes
Colour
Deep copper-amber with a warm, ruby-tinted glow.
Nose
Smoky coastal air and sea-salt brine open to a lush wave of port-finished sweetness. Peat and maritime vigor mingle with ripe berries (raspberry, blackberry and plum), while vanilla and spice from the oak lend a warm, caramel-soaked undertone.
Palate
Sea-salted smoke anchors a lush berry sweetness: blackberry, raspberry and plum mingle with fig and cocoa from the port cask. Silky, medium-full on the palate, with a velvety caramel-spice core, toasted oak, and a bright citrus edge. The port finish adds opulent fruit-and-nut richness that lingers, punctuated by gentle peat and saline waves.
Finish
Long maritime finish with smoky drift and port-sweet echo. Ripe berry fruits linger beside a gentle sea-salt bite, while dried fruit and oak give structure, leaving a final kiss of port-wine sweetness and warm peat.
