Tasting Notes
Colour
Rich, deep amber with mahogany-edged rims and a copper-gold core, softly glinting with a sunset-bronze glow in the glass.
Nose
Aromas of antique oak and sherry-kissed fruit: prunes and figs mingle with orange zest, walnut and almond, under a rich toffee sweetness. Cocoa notes deepen the nose while warm spice and a whisper of leather lift the bouquet, promising a refined, dignified old-cask character.
Palate
Silky and refined on the palate, this Strathisla delivers a sherried sweetness of dark raisin, fig and orange zest, woven with toffee and milk chocolate. Subtle spice and toasted almond support a delicate oak backbone, while the fruit persists with quiet elegance. The finish is long and luxurious, fading to orange peel, cocoa and a whisper of leather.
Finish
Opulent, long finish with refined sherry sweetness and polished oak. Dried fig and plum fold into cocoa and almond, while warm spice threads linger, leaving a velvety fade of leather and orange zest.
