Tasting Notes
Colour
Deep, dark amber with a rich mahogany depth and copper-gold highlights.
Nose
Dense peat smoke and sea-breeze perfume rise, tinged with iodine and medicinal cedar. Sherry sweetness threads through dark fruit—prune, fig, raisin—while espresso and toasted oak add lacquered depth. A coastal, powerful aroma that speaks of age, refinement, and the legendary Islay spirit behind this rare bottling.
Palate
On the palate, an intense yet refined peat smoke coats the tongue, edged by iodine and coastal brine. Rich sherry sweetness reveals dried fig, raisin and dark chocolate, entwined with espresso and tobacco notes. A creamy, velvety texture leads to a long, warming finish, with cinnamon-spice lift, leather, and a teasing mineral whisper that lingers.
Finish
Long, maritime peat and ash linger, touched by sea-salt and a gentle sherry sweetness. Dark chocolate, fig, and orange peel unfold as peppery spice and oak frame the palate, fading to a refined, smoky whisper that clings with elegant persistence.
