Tasting Notes
Colour
Deep amber with burnished copper glints and a tawny mahogany edge.
Nose
Clean, bright sweetness rides a plume of smoky peat, with maritime iodine and sea-salt lifting the aroma. Ripe orchard fruits mingle with caramel, honey and a touch of vanilla, all carried on a delicate sherry whisper. Powerful yet refined, the nose remains elegant with restrained oak—a classic Port Ellen balance of smoke and sweetness.
Palate
Clean, sweet and powerful with a refined maritime smoke. Velvety, oily mouthfeel carries citrusy sweetness and subtle peat, tempered by restrained oak. Long finish of ash, sea salt and delicate warmth.
Finish
Long, clean and delicately smoky, the finish lingers with a refined sweetness that softens into peat. Subtle sherry nuance and a touch of maritime salt kiss the palate, fading to warm spice and a gentle echo of cocoa and iodine, leaving a polished, lingering glow.
