The 6th edition of heavilly peated Bruichladdich (Port Charlotte) bottled by Elixir Distillers for the Elements Of Islay range. Distilled in 2011 and matured for over seven years in a trio of ex-bourbon barrels, Pl6 has a rich, meaty character with notes of smoke, warm spices and rich earth.

Powerfully peated, the nose opens with deep peat smoke and a savory, meaty core. Warm spices—cinnamon and clove—linger over rich earth, while subtle vanilla and oak notes from ex-bourbon casks lend a gentle sweetness beneath the smoky intensity.
Palate
Full, oily and intense, this Port Charlotte coats the palate with heavy peat and smoky bacon fat, edged by charred wood. Warm spices—cinnamon, clove, white pepper—drive sweetness from bourbon vanilla and caramel. Earthy notes of damp soil anchor the profile, while coastal iodine and sea salt lift the finish. Long, peppery, and smoky, with a final echo of ash.
