Tasting Notes
Colour
Rich amber-gold with coppery undertones and a burnished, sunlit glow.
Nose
Towering peat smoke, medicinal and coastal, unfurls with sea spray, iodine and ash. Beneath it sits caramelized malt and vanilla, a soft sweetness that lifts sherry-driven hints of dried fig, dark chocolate and leather. A windswept Islay perfume—briny, smoky, and burnished.
Palate
Peat-forward with a fierce Islay bite: iodine, sea spray and coastal smoke ride the palate. Dense, velvety smoke coats toasted barley, unveiling notes of dark cocoa, toffee and a touch of medicinal sweetness. Full-bodied and warming, the finish lingers with charred oak, black pepper and enduring maritime salt.
Finish
Long maritime finish, thick with peat, iodine and sea-salt. The smoke lingers as ash and dark chocolate emerge, with a warming kiss of spice. A resinous, Islay-tinged fade that echoes the coastline, slowly receding but leaving a lasting coastal warmth.
