In stock
Blending offers a Master Blender a true opportunity to craft something unique. Age offers a whisky the opportunity to develop, mature and, again, become unique.
On the nose, this 1972 Blended Grain offers sweet honey, butterscotch, fudge, rum and raisin, sticky toffee pudding, natural wax and dried ginger. Years of maturation have softened, sweetened and deeply characterised this curiosity. Brown sugar, spiced, malted chocolate, bubble gum, rich fruit cake and complex dried fruit mix envelop the tastebuds.
This unique blend is made from 100% grain, using vintage distilled components from 1972 before being matured in ex-bourbon barrels. Time and craftsmanship have made this whisky completely individual. Bottled at 46.5%, unchill filtered and with no added colour, nothing but sophistication and experience have gone into offering you this time-piece.

Tasting Notes
Colour
Deep, natural amber-gold with coppery highlights and a warm honey glow.
Nose
Sweet honey and butterscotch rise with fudge and rum-soaked raisins, then a lush wash of sticky toffee pudding, natural wax and dried ginger. Brown sugar, spiced notes, and malted chocolate mingle with bubblegum and rich fruitcake, all under a refined beeswax, dunnage and polished-antiques scent that hints at time and pedigree.
Palate
Flapjacks and maple syrup ride a silky, waxy grain, with waxed apples adding a crisp sweetness. Rich honey and brown sugar unfold into subtle malt, a touch of toffee and gentle spice, all carried by a soft, long finish that lingers with warm oak and refined sweetness.
Finish
Long, silky finish staying sweet and waxy, with lingering honey, brown sugar and dried fruit. Subtle spice warms the mouth as beeswax and polished oak fade, leaving a refined, elegant tail that invites another sip.
