Colour
Deep burnished amber with copper-gold shimmer and a whisper of mahogany at the rim.
Nose
Sea spray and malt open with a smouldering ash undertone, a delicate note of shellfish sweetness perched among wild heather and oily oak. Browning apples and nectarines rise with lemon-vanilla and butterscotch, a hint of crisp bacon, finished by jasmine tea.
Palate
Against a backdrop of firewood, chewy vanilla toffees meet apricot jam, juicy wood spices and a kiss of dried barley. Sour citrus and maritime salinity weave through, while smoked almonds and a hint of grass cling softly underneath, yielding a layered, coastal palate.
Finish
Swirling complexity lingers on the finish, leaving a juicy impression with an almost agricole-esque note that rises through the sweet smoke.
