Tasting Notes
Colour
Natural amber with coppery edges and a warm, honey-gold sheen.
Nose
Intense peat smoke dominates, tempered by sea-salted brine and iodine. Vanilla and warm caramel from the bourbon cask weave through creamy oak, with subtle toffee. Bright citrus peel—orange zest and grapefruit—lifts the aroma, while faint medicinal notes and a whisper of ash linger in the finish.
Palate
Intense medicinal peat floods the palate with coastal smoke, sea salt and ash, threaded by vanilla and citrus zest from the oak. A thick, oil-rich mouthfeel carries peppery spice and iodine, delivering a long, smoky finish with a subtle sweetness lingering in maritime air.
Finish
Long, warming finish of thick peat smoke with coastal brine and herbal iodine. Vanilla sweetness and citrus zest weave through the oak, then a resinous, smoky echo lingers, slow to fade. The 52% ABV keeps the peat vibrant, leaving a balanced, mineral-coated finish that coats the palate with a final wave of charred oak and sea-salt.
