A rare independent Dalmore distilled in October 1996 and matured for 19 years before being selected for Ian Macleod's Chieftain's Limited Edition Collection. The whisky was finished in a Monthélie Les Riottes wine cask, bringing an unusual Burgundian influence to Dalmore's rich Highland single malt character.
Bottled in June 2016 at 46% ABV from single cask no. 94721, only 685 bottles were released. Un-chill-filtered and bottled at natural colour, this distinctive Dalmore offers collectors something markedly different from the distillery's official releases, combining extended maturation with a particularly uncommon wine-cask finish.
