The epitome of a great Highland Malt. Rich, smooth and complex, Dalmore 18 has all the hallmarks of this great distillery, dark fruit, spice, incredible length and a persistent lengthy finish. Almost Cognac like in character, this is aged for 14 years in American white oak and then 4 years in 30 year old Matusalem Oloroso Sherry casks for a luxurious finish.

Tasting Notes
Colour
Deep amber with mahogany tones and coppery highlights, a luxurious sun-warmed glow.
Nose
Grapey, cognac-like aromas lead into bitter orange, dark chocolate and aromatic spices (clove, cinnamon). Toasted vanillin oak adds warmth, with hints of old leather, dates, Brazil nuts and ginger mocha, hinting at a luxurious, complex bouquet.
Palate
A luscious, viscous palate of sticky dates and baked ripe figs in dark honey, with the warming spice of clove and nutmeg, glints of candied orange and bitter chocolate truffles, and a thick, grapey mouthfeel that coats the tongue and lingers.
Finish
Thick-cut Seville marmalade on cinnamon toast, bitter espresso grinds, charred oak, stem ginger and late aromatic spices.
