Tasting Notes
Colour
Deep amber with copper-hued glow and mahogany undertones.
Nose
Opulent sherry-draped aroma with dark plum, raisin and fig, lifted by orange zest and toffee. Rich cocoa, espresso and toasted oak deepen the bouquet, while cigar-box tobacco and cedar lend a smoky, refined edge. Warming spices—nutmeg and clove—linger, hinting at the high ABV and the whisky’s grand, indulgent character.
Palate
Opulent and full-bodied, the palate offers dark fig and dried plum lifted by burnt sugar, espresso and cocoa. Sherry sweetness coats the mouth, while tobacco, cedar and spice add cigar-box depth. Velvet tannins and a warming finish knit together, delivering a long, luxurious echo of cherrywood, toffee and oak.
Finish
An enduring, warming finish that lingers with rich sherry sweetness, unfolding into dark cocoa and dried fruit. Notes of leather, tobacco, and espresso mingle with velvet oak, leaving a long, resinous polish and a refined cigar-box glow that softly fades on the palate.
