Cask Strength Single Cask

The Cigar Malt is a richly matured 21-year-old Speyside single malt selected by Ian Macleod for the Chieftain's Limited Edition Collection. Distilled in March 1997 and matured in sherry butts, the whisky was created in a full-bodied style, with extended sherry maturation bringing together dark fruit, oak, spice and deep malt richness.

Bottled in September 2018 at a robust 55.4% ABV from casks 3650 and 3651, only 1,095 bottles were released. Bottled without chill filtration and at natural colour, its combination of significant age, high strength and heavy sherry influence makes this one of the more substantial and collectible releases from the Chieftain's range.
