Undisclosed Speyside (M) Signatory Vintage Cask Strength Collection Single Cask #46 Whisky 18 Year Old · 2005 Vintage
In stock
Distilled at Speyside’s most prestigious distillery, close to the banks of the River Spey, just outside the village of Aberlour.
This full bodied, richly sherried single malt whisky was matured in a single 1st fill Oloroso Sherry cask, before being bottled at cask strength, unchill-filtered, with no added colour.
Although the distillery in undisclosed, we can confirm that it begins with the letter M, and would be a favourite of Mr Bond.

Tasting Notes
Colour
Dark burnished amber with mahogany undertones
Nose
Opulent sherry aroma: dark raisins and fig with dried plum, brightened by orange zest. Toasted almond and walnut mingle with toffee, cocoa and burnt sugar, while polished oak, leather and spice—cinnamon and clove—add depth. A robust, warming cask-strength glow lingers.
Palate
Opulent and full-bodied on the palate, this richly sherried whisky coats with an oily warmth. Dark prune, fig, raisin and sultana mingle with cocoa, orange zest, and toasted almond, a hint of cinnamon. The 1st-fill Oloroso yields nutty, rancio depth; cask-strength heat and spice linger. Long, velvety finish with persistent sherry sweetness and coffee-dark notes.
Finish
An opulent, long finish clinging with Oloroso sherry: dark fig, raisin and cocoa, with orange zest. Warming spices—cinnamon and clove—thread through as the cask-strength heat fades to toasted oak and aged leather, leaving a refined, persistent glow.
