Tasting Notes
Colour
Impossibly dark, near-opaque mahogany with a satin burnished-copper glow at the rim.
Nose
Opulent, dessert-rich aromas of fig and raisin molasses, dates drenched in treacle. Velvet toffee and dark chocolate weave with orange zest, cinnamon and a whisper of tobacco. The PX influence glows softly, wrapping warm, syrupy sweetness in polished oak and spice.
Palate
Silky, full-bodied palate drenched in PX sherry richness: raisin, fig and date with treacle, toffee and dark chocolate. Velvety, slightly oily texture carries a warm spice and orange zest lift, while the 49.1% ABV adds a peppery glow that lingers into a long, luxurious finish.
Finish
Long, velvety finish rich with raisin and fig from the PX, unfolding into dark chocolate, caramel and spice, all cocooned in warm oak and fading to a delicate note of orange zest.
