This 21-year-old expression has been matured in refill casks for 8 years, followed by a 13-year second maturation in rejuvenated American and European oak wine casks, as well as rejuvenated casks with charred ends. An intentional complexity that bursts with swelling crescendo: a fruity melody of over-ripe dark fruit, stewed pear, smashed fig and caramelised apple reverberates on the palate.

Opulent, fruit-forward nose: over-ripe dark fruit—prune, fig, blackberry—meets stewed pear and caramelized apple. Subtle wine-cask lift adds vanilla, toffee, and orange zest, with toasted oak and a whisper of spice underpinning the aroma.

Benrinnes
(ben-RIN-is) Benrinnes was first established in 1826 by Peter MacKenzie at Whitehouse Farm near Aberlour, on the lower slopes of Ben Rinnes. The original distillery was destroyed by flooding in 1829, with a new site later developed nearby. After early ownership changes, David Edward took over in 1864, and the distillery was sold to John Dewar & Sons in 1922 before becoming part of DCL three years later. It is now owned by Diageo.
