Tasting Notes
Nose
Opulent orchard-fruit aromas of ripe pear and baked apple, woven with vanilla custard and honeyed malt. Fresh orange zest and cedar-tinged oak mingle with cinnamon and nutmeg, while a whisper of almond and toffee adds creamy, toasty depth. At 59.5% ABV, the aroma is bold, with warm spice and a polished, resinous finish hinting at sherry-dusted sweetness.
Palate
Opulent and full-bodied, this coats the palate with a lush, oily mouthfeel. Rich vanilla and toffee mingle with dried orchard fruits and orange zest, while cinnamon and clove spice weave through. Oak lends structure, finishing long with hints of dark chocolate and almond.
Finish
Long, warming finish with honeyed vanilla, orchard fruit and oak. White pepper and citrus zest drift through the palate, carried by the high ABV into a lingering, creamy fade that dries to toasted oak.
