The distillery is best known for its weighty Speyside character. From 1974 until 2007, Benrinnes used an unusual partial triple distillation process, while worm tub condensers added extra body and a meaty depth to the spirit. Most production has historically gone into blends, with official single malt releases led by the Flora & Fauna 15 Year Old and occasional limited bottlings, while independent releases often show its rich, robust and sherry-friendly style.
