Tasting Notes
Colour
Deep amber with coppery highlights and a honey-gold glow—natural, unfiltered colour.
Nose
Bold vanilla and toasted virgin oak lead, releasing ripe orchard fruit—apple and pear—with orange zest and a touch of honey. Spices—nutmeg and cinnamon—linger, backed by a creamy, biscuity undercurrent. A gentle peppery lift and woody resin add depth, hinting at the cask strength and un-chill filtered character.
Palate
On the palate it unfolds with muscular oak-driven richness: vanilla and toasted spice from the Virgin Oak mingle with orchard fruit, honeyed sweetness, and a citrus lift. Full-bodied and warm, it coats the mouth with creamy texture, revealing peppery spice, dark treacle, and a lasting, resinous finish.
Finish
Long, oak-forward finish with vanilla and toasty Virgin Oak. Spices unfold—cinnamon, clove, black pepper—before a drying, resinous grip that lingers. Subtle cocoa and char add depth as the warmth slowly fades into a lasting coat of spice and oak.
