Tasting Notes
Colour
Deep amber with a copper-gold glow and mahogany depth.
Nose
Aromas rise with coastal peat and sea-salt brine, scented by iodine and ash. Sherry maturation drapes dark fruit—figs and raisins—alongside cocoa and orange zest. Vanilla and oak lend warmth, while the smoke stays polished, resinous, and maritime, hinting at a long seaborne finish.
Palate
Thick, smoky peat mingles with coastal brine and waxy vanilla. Sherry-cask depth brings dried fig, raisin and plum wrapped in cocoa and orange zest, with a hint of spice. Velvety, full-bodied texture coats the mouth, leading to a long, warm finish of oak, pepper and lingering peat smoke.
Finish
Long, warming finish of peat smoke and sea salt, fading into rich sherry sweetness. Dried fruits, cocoa and orange zest emerge, with toasted oak and a touch of spice lingering as the smoke slowly subsides.
