Colour

Nose

Intense peat smoke and sea-salt brine lift from the glass, tempered by medicinal iodine and a sweet, sherried backbone. Dried fig, date, and cocoa mingle with toffee and warm malt, all wrapped in polished oak.

Palate

Full-bodied and silky, this bursts onto the palate with fierce peat smoke, iodine and sea-salt, a true Islay tide. Sherry maturation threads dark fruit, cocoa and spice through the smoke, while a molten warmth coats the mouth. The finish is long and resinous, with ash, oak, and a lingering maritime smoke that invites another sip.

Finish

Impossibly long, the finish pours forth waves of peat smoke and sea-salt brine, slowly tapering to rich heather, fig and cocoa from the sherry cask, with a warm, resinous settling that lingers well past the last sip.
