Colour

Nose

Powerful peat and maritime iodine dominate the nose, edged by briny sea spray. A rich Pedro Ximenez embrace adds raisin, fig and treacle, translating into velvety vanilla and cocoa. Subtle leather and damp oak provide ballast, while hints of orange zest and spice lift the bouquet, yielding a warm, glossy sweetness that promises a long, smoky finish.

Palate

Full, oily palate of Lagavulin's peat and maritime salt, cloaked in lush PX sherry. Dried fig and raisin, dark chocolate and toffee unfold, with hints of almond and leather. The smoke stays in harmony with the sweetness, leaving a long, warming finish.

Finish

Long, peaty finish with lush PX sherry sweetness. Raisins, fig and dark chocolate ride the smoke, while caramel and toasted oak lend warmth. A maritime, saline glow fades slowly, leaving a dry, resinous afterglow and a final plume of medicinal peat.
