Tasting Notes
Colour
Deep, burnished amber with mahogany depth and a copper edge.
Nose
Aromas of dense peat and maritime brine rise first, bearing iodine and smoke. Sherry-finished sweetness unfurls—prune, fig and raisin—alongside dark chocolate and toffee, with a thread of vanilla. Subtle oak and toasted almond add structure as a warm coastal glow lingers.
Palate
Opulent on the palate: peat smoke and iodine lash against a bold, maritime core, then unfold layers of sherried sweetness—fig, raisin and dark chocolate—woven with espresso, subtle spice and warm oak. A long, cushioned finish of smoky sweetness and refined tannin.
Finish
Long, smoky finish with warm sherry sweetness; peat and sea salt linger as notes of dried fig, raisin, dark chocolate and toffee unfold, wrapped in toasted oak for a lasting, velvety finish.
