Tasting Notes

Colour

Deep coppery amber with mahogany depth and a warm, ruby-tinged glow.

Nose

PX Cask influence is immediately apparent, delivering a lush, chocolatey aroma intertwined with dark fruits—black cherry, Medjool dates, and raisins.

Palate

Silky, full-bodied mouthfeel envelops dark chocolate, intertwined with raisins and roasted nuts. Spices unfurl quickly, a peppery prickle that lingers through the finish.

Finish

PX-driven finish rich with dark chocolate and dried fruit. Silky in texture, it carries a warming peppery bite that lingers long after swallowing, letting notes of black cherry, raisin and date drift into a cacao-tinted epilogue.

(glen-AL-a-key) Built in 1967 near Aberlour, it spent much of its life producing whisky for blends rather than building a big name as a single malt in its own right. That changed in 2017, when Billy Walker, Trisha Savage and Graham Stevenson bought the distillery and began reshaping it around a more flavour-led, hands-on vision.
