Craigellachie Bas-Armagnac Cask Finished Speyside Single Malt Whisky 13 Year Old
In stock
Finishing in former French Bas Armagnac barrels has softly rounded Craigellachie’s weighty style with warming notes of baked apples, dusted with heady cinnamon. Rich flavours of caramel shortcake are offset by signature syrupy pineapples and fiery bonfire night aromas.
First matured in ex-Bourbon and ex-Sherry casks, then rested in Bas-Armagnac casks, for just over a year.

Tasting Notes
Colour
Deep golden amber with coppery highlights and a sunlit honey glow, a rich bronze warmth that catches the eye.
Nose
Warm baked apples greet the nose, dusted with cinnamon and crowned by caramel-shortcake sweetness. Rich notes of syrupy pineapple drift through, while wisps of toasted oak and bonfire embers lend spice and depth. A subtle kiss of Bas-Armagnac rounds the aroma with fruit-forward elegance and a polished, lingering sweetness.
Palate
Bas-Armagnac-finished and weighty, this Craigellachie coats the palate with warmth. Baked apple and cinnamon lead to rich caramel-shortcake, while syrupy pineapple threads through the mid-palate. Oak and a whisper of bonfire smoke lend depth, delivering a long, harmonious finish of fruit, spice and refined sweetness.
Finish
Softly rounded by Bas-Armagnac casks, the finish glows with warm baked apples and cinnamon. Caramel shortcake sweetness lingers, while syrupy pineapples flicker and the memory of bonfire night spices drifts away in a long, comforting fade.
