Colour

Deep amber with coppery sheen and mahogany undertones.

Nose

Nutty and floral, with dried apricots, orange marmalade and a touch of sweet spice.

Palate

Long and complex on the palate, soft oak spice with a touch of fire, its warmth unfolding into supple fruit and a faint caramel note that lingers.

Finish

Long, fruit-forward finish of red fruit and stewed summer fruit, with a delicate caramel sweetness. Subtle spice and soft oak echo the Marsala cask finish, leaving a warm, lingering fade.

Craigellachie
(Craig-ELL-a-key) Craigellachie was built in 1890, with production beginning in 1891, and was designed by Charles Doig for a consortium led by Alexander Edward and Peter Mackie. From the start it was closely tied to the White Horse blend, and that link shaped much of the distillery’s early history. Long known locally as the White Horse Distillery, Craigellachie later became part of Bacardi in 1998 through John Dewar & Sons.
