Tasting Notes

Nose

Nutty and floral, with dried apricots, orange marmalade and a touch of sweet spice.

Palate

Quite long and complex, soft oak spice with a touch of fire. The finish brings in red fruit notes and some stewed summer fruit and a light touch of caramel.

Craigellachie
(Craig-ELL-a-key) Craigellachie was built in 1890, with production beginning in 1891, and was designed by Charles Doig for a consortium led by Alexander Edward and Peter Mackie. From the start it was closely tied to the White Horse blend, and that link shaped much of the distillery’s early history. Long known locally as the White Horse Distillery, Craigellachie later became part of Bacardi in 1998 through John Dewar & Sons.
