Colour
Deep amber-gold with coppery glints and a hint of mahogany at the rim.
Nose
An inviting, creamy nose of warm spice and nutty sweetness: nutmeg and ginger biscuits mingle with amaretti, caramel and almond, yielding a thick, velvety aroma that hints at the richness to come.
Palate
Funky and expressive, with vegetal/agave hints countered by honeyed cantaloupe. Burnt sugar lingers over toasted oats, while walnut skin and chocolate raisins add depth, complemented by meaty, beefy undertones that lend savory complexity to the palate.
Finish
A long, warming finish of rich, robust smoke and meaty depth, fading into baked apple, clove, honeycomb and liquorice.
