The Craigellachie Distillery in the very heart of Speyside is an impressive sight, with its traditional pagoda and glass-walled stillhouse. Three casks of powerful eleven year old Craigellachie Single Malt were further matured in specially selected Tawny Port barrels from Caves de Murça, Portugal. After fifteen months, the time had come to share this transformed Speysider.
There is a deep maltiness on the nose, followed by nutty aromas and a floral fruitiness. A burst of resplendent winter fruits on the palate, complimented by toffee nut brittle. There is a hint of chocolate on the finish, along with a sweet oak spice.

Colour
Rich tawny-amber with copper highlights and a warm mahogany edge.
Nose
Deep maltiness forms the core on the nose, followed by nutty aromas and a bright floral fruitiness that lingers invitingly.
Palate
On the palate, winter fruits burst over a malt-forward base, with nutty depth and a whisper of floral fruitiness. Rich toffee-nut brittle notes mingle with cocoa, while sweet oak spice lingers, guiding a smooth, velvety finish.
Finish
Hints of chocolate linger on the finish, infused with a sweet oak spice that coats the palate in warm, cocoa-toned sweetness.
