Benrinnes Berry Bros & Rudd Small Batch Single Malt Scotch Whisky 13 Year Old · 2010 Vintage
In stock
Benrinnes Distillery lies in the shadow of the eponymous mountain, near the River Spey. An earlier distillery bearing the name was flooded in 1829; today, the current distillery sits on safer ground.
Tasting Notes:
The aromas of this Speyside heavyweight somehow convey the texture of the liquid itself; honey, fresh hay and warm floral notes all build with citrus and fresh Granny Smiths, emerging with time in the glass.
The palate is wonderfully quaffable, showing rounded notes of fruit and golden syrup with the meaty character that Benrinnes is known for. This bottle will disappear quickly when placed at the centre of the card table with a group of good friends.

Colour
Deep amber-gold with a radiant honey glow and coppery highlights, like liquid autumn sunlight.
Nose
Honeyed warmth meets fresh hay and warm florals, lifted by citrus zest and crisp Granny Smith apples. The aromas build gently in the glass, revealing a textured sweetness and a bright, orchard-fresh lift.
Palate
Quaffable and refined on the palate, it delivers rounded fruit and golden syrup, tempered by Benrinnes’ signature meaty richness. Smooth and balanced, with a lingering sweetness and inviting depth that invites another sip.
Finish
Long and elegantly warming, the finish fans out with honeyed orchard fruit and citrus zest, lingering under a softly savory, meaty edge. Golden syrup sweetness fades to a polished oaken glow, leaving a mouthwatering trace of fresh hay and gentle spice that invites the next sip.
