Tasting Notes
Colour
Deep copper-amber with radiant honey-gold highlights, a warm, sunlit glow.
Nose
Bright citrus peel and orchard fruit rise with honeyed vanilla from the American oak. A delicate note of Islay peat and iodine threads through a sea-salt breeze, giving the aroma a smoky maritime edge. Subtle almond and oak spice linger, adding depth to a refined, collectible nose.
Palate
A lush, full-bodied mouthful of vanilla cream, toffee and orchard fruit, with orange zest and a kiss of almond. From its American oak cask—once home to Islay malt—subtle peat smoke threads through the sweetness, lending maritime depth. Spices rise mid-palate, balanced by warm oak; the finish is long, with dried fruit, cocoa and a refined, lingering warmth.
Finish
Long, warming finish where delicate peat and island brine mingle with Balblair’s orchard fruit and velvety vanilla. The American oak leaves caramel, toasted almond and a whisper of smoke, with citrus zest and spice lingering to the last breath.
