This 21 year old Balblair was distilled in 1993 and bottled in 2014 at 53.4% ABV. Matured in a first fill sherry puncheon (cask #1962).

The sherry cask maturation brings pronounced depth and richness to Balblair’s Highland spirit, weaving concentrated dried fruit and spice with rounded oak influence over the distillery’s naturally robust, malt-forward profile.

Balblair
(bal-BLAIR) Balblair was founded in 1790 by John Ross at Edderton in the Northern Highlands, overlooking the Dornoch Firth. The distillery remained with the Ross family through much of the 19th century, before being rebuilt in 1894 closer to the railway while continuing to use water from the Allt Dearg burn. Later owners included Hiram Walker, and Inver House Distillers acquired Balblair in 1996.
