A superb, mature single malt whisky from one of Scotland's oldest distilleries. This 27 yer old whisky has been matured in a combination of ex-Bourbon and ex-Sherry casks, but seems to have taken most of its influence from the latter. A big, rich, complex Sherry bomb with an abundance of darks fruits, caramel, chocolate, and sweet wood spice.
Non chill filtered and natural colour.

Tasting Notes
Colour
Deep amber with mahogany depth and warm coppery highlights.
Nose
Rich citrus fruits with vanilla, toffee and honey drift through chocolate and gentle winter spices; apricot adds lift with a subtle note of liquorice.
Palate
On the palate, citrus and orchard fruits lead into rich, creamy chocolate, with layers of stewed apples and pears. Christmas pudding notes mingle with a warm vanilla sauce, building to a lingering, comforting finish.
Finish
Sparkling orange zest lingers, followed by toasted coconut, vanilla sweetness and caramel, finishing with warm, creamy richness that coats the palate.
