Tasting Notes
Colour
Radiant amber with coppery edges and a warm, sunlit-gold core.
Nose
Bright and tangy, this nose opens with lemon zest, green apple and pear, lifted by a delicate orange-honey glow. Subtle vanilla and polished oak frame sherry-influenced notes of fig, apricot and raisin, with wisps of almond and spice. Balblair’s citrus lift shines through, hinting at the depth accrued over 27 years.
Palate
Vivid tangy citrus and green apple lift a supple, waxy body, unfurling dried cherry, fig and cocoa from the sherry cask. Ginger, clove and nutmeg weave through polished oak, creating a bright, complex mid-palate. The finish is long and refined, with mineral hints and a gentle, warming echo of spice.
Finish
Long, tangy finish with zesty citrus and orchard fruit giving way to refined oak and sherry-spice depth. Lingering warmth and complex, polished sweetness hold on the palate, a signature Balblair radiance that persists.
