Ardbeg Single Cask #1375 Whisky 30 Year Old · 1975 Vintage
In stock
One of the true future investment grade bottles that are likely to spiral up in price in our opinion. Rumour has it that there are very few 1970's casks left in the Ardbeg archive and even fewer Sherry casks which makes bottles such as these real life holy grails.

Tasting Notes
Colour
Deep copper-amber with mahogany depths and a warm honey-gold halo.
Nose
Aromas of salty peat smoke and maritime iodine rise over velvety sherry sweetness, with fig and raisin, orange zest, and dark chocolate. Toasted oak, vanilla, and a whisper of leather add polish, while a resinous, smoke-kissed finish lingers.
Palate
Opulent and full-bodied, this opens with thick, velvety peat smoke tempered by lush sherry. Dark prune and fig mingle with espresso, dark chocolate and toasted almond, a saline coastline note keeping it vibrant. The finish is long and warming, peppery and mineral, with lingering smoky sweetness and a final decadent glow.
Finish
Long, expansive finish of peaty coastal smoke, layered with rich sherry sweetness. Dark fig, treacle and cocoa unfold into leather and resin, with orange zest and subtle spice giving a bright lift. A warming, drying tail of charred oak and ash lingers, edged by maritime salt and a final whisper of smoke.
