Tasting Notes

Colour

Deep amber with copper-bronze highlights.

Nose

Fragrant vanilla and chocolate mingle with warm spice and hazelnuts, while peat smoke, sea salt and tarry rope weave a maritime backbone. After a moment, hints of grape skins, digestive biscuits and toffee cracknel emerge to complete this rich, multi-layered aroma.

Palate

Full, tingly warmth coats the palate, with sea salt and seaweed braided into smoky wood and bonfires. Dark bitter chocolate sits beneath the smoke as it lingers, then tart grape skins and plums, liquorice and spice emerge, lifted by a delicate lemon oil citrus note.

Finish

An extended finish of golden syrup and peat soot, with lingering notes of fruit slices and delicate citrus that gradually fade to a refined, citrus-kissed sweetness.
