The Wire Works Caduro Cask Strength release builds upon their signature Derbyshire single malt, matured in a blend of American and French oak. This includes both first-fill ex-bourbon casks and White Peak’s unique STR casks—re-conditioned wine barriques that have been shaved, toasted, and re-charred. Bottled at a natural cask strength of 58.0%, this expression has undergone 18 months of in-cask maturation, resulting in a complex and harmonious interplay of flavors.

Colour
Deep amber with molten gold highlights and a coppery edge.
Nose
A fragrant procession of orchard sweetness, with pear drops and baked apple sparkling beside banana and orange zest, all waking with a dusting of nutmeg; creamy notes of white chocolate and fudge, ribbons of marshmallow and marzipan, a whisper of popcorn and burnt sugar weaving through the bouquet, inviting and refined.
Palate
Marmalade and treacle tart open the palate, mingling liquorice all-sorts with tobacco and milk chocolate, bright grapefruit zest, airy meringue, and a whisper of baklava.
Finish
Bonfire-toffee sweetness lingers, mingling with spiced citrus and creamy cereal notes. Warm mace and allspice intertwine with cinnamon, leading to a crème brûlée fade crowned by a delicate wisp of smoke.
