The Thompson Bros White Peak 7 Year Old (Cask 18-016) is one of the earliest casks ever filled by the Derbyshire distillery.

Bottled at 57.1% ABV from 1st fill ex-bourbon, it shows bright green pepper, lime and coastal smoke, with citrus cutting through salinity and mineral peat. Smoked almonds, peanut brittle and savoury undertones add richness, while the finish is dry and textural with hessian, lemon zest and gentle ginger.

A distinctive English single malt demonstrating craft, brewers’ yeast complexity and early-era Wireworks character.

White Peak Distillery was founded in 2016 by Max and Claire Vaughan in Ambergate, becoming Derbyshire’s first full-scale craft distillery and the first whisky distillery in the Peak District region. Housed in the former Johnson & Nephew Wire Works on the banks of the River Derwent, within the Derwent Valley Mills UNESCO World Heritage Site, it has built its identity around a strong sense of Derbyshire provenance and the industrial history of its home.
